Tofino, British Columbia

For our first wedding anniversary, Alan and I decided we wanted to get away. I definitely wanted sandy beaches so we considered doing a road trip along the Oregon coast, but eventually we decided to stay closer to home. We ended up boarding a ferry and sailing over to Vancouver Island. After a long, narrow, winding drive we reached beautiful Tofino - a popular oasis for BC surfers and beachcombers.

It was a little on the chilly side, but such a romantic spot to celebrate one year of marriage!
